With the aid of England & Lyle, planning consent was granted for a large commercial development of mainly office floorspace of 250,000 sq ft.
The scheme involves a number of contemporary office blocks such as that built by the developers themselves for use as a head office.
The first phase of the scheme also saw the development of a Trade Park which is almost fully occupied.
Through the planning application, a number of complex issues needed to be addressed most notably the need to overcome concerns about the capacity of the highways network expressed by Stockton Borough Council and the Highways Agency.
