Planning consent granted in the face of opposition for the redevelopment of a former pub to provide a new medical centre and a 4,000 sq ft convenience store.
The proposal required a considerable amount of supporting information including a retail impact assessment which demonstrated that the scheme would not have an adverse impact on nearby local or town centres.
A Lawful development Certificate was also granted for the use of the former public house as an unconstrained retail unit falling within use class A1.
